The Cheyney University AMP program focuses its efforts on broadening science, engineering and mathematics student/faculty research experiences. The program emphasizes undergraduate research as a training tool to prepare students for graduate research. Undergraduate research opportunities are made possible through collaboration and funding from the Federal Highway Administration and the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. Other program activities include tutoring, mentoring, scholarship support and exposure to Nanotechnology through Cheyney's collaboration with Pennsylvania State University.

The Community College of Philadelphia AMP program focuses it efforts on the preparation of science, technology, engineering and mathematics students for transfer to AMP four-year institutions. Articulation agreements and dual admission programs are in place to ease this transition. Students are also provided scholarships, mentoring, tutoring, academic advising and research opportunities.

The Delaware State University AMP program provides academic, social, and financial resources to help students stay on track and to reach their goals. AMP funds are also used to increase students' participation in research and to increase peer-to-peer support structures. The AMP Center plays a key role in accomplishing these goals. The AMP Center helps to create an atmosphere of academic caring and support that encourages students to continue working towards their goals.

In keeping with the spirit and mission of the Philadelphia AMP, the Drexel AMP focuses its efforts on the enhancement of its traditional minority science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) programs through the SUCCESS / ACT101 programs. Drexel collaborates with selected high schools and community colleges to pilot innovative STEM curriculum initiatives. The primary goal is increasing the graduation rates of minorities majoring in STEM fields of study.

The Lincoln University AMP program's mission is to help students to successfully complete undergraduate degrees and transition to graduate programs in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The program provides mentoring, tutorial services, research opportunities, scholarships, and graduate school preparation activities through Lincoln's Advanced Science and Engineering Reinforcement (LASER), Minority Access to Research Centers (MARC) and CHARC programs funded through NASA and the National Institute of Health.

The University's commitment to the Philadelphia AMP program and to science, technology, engineering and mathematics students has influenced the formation of the College of Science and Technology (CST) and the Math/Science Resource Center (MSRC). The Temple University AMP is a student-centered organization, led by undergraduate and graduate students. Its mission is to encourage students to pursue undergraduate and graduate education in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

AMP students have the opportunity to inform members of their academic aspirations and to receive information about scholarships, internships, and both academic and professional opportunities. Participation in AMP programs provides an organizational and group dynamic that fosters social and intellectual stimulation for its students.

The University of Delaware (UD) AMP program has three initiatives, the RISE (Resources to Insure Successful Engineers) Program, the NUCLEUS (Network of Undergraduate Collaborative Learning Experiences for Underrepresented Scholars) Program and the JHTS (John Henry Taylor Scholars) Program of the Academic Services Center (ASC) which all provide academic programming for underrepresented ethnic SEM students. These programs have been successful in providing many educational opportunities – both academic and social – for African American, Hispanic American and Native American students. The RISE, NUCLEUS and JHTS programs implement various programs supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF), AMP, UD, the Colleges of Engineering and Arts & Sciences, government, industry and other foundation organizations.

The University of Pennsylvania AMP program creates a nurturing environment through which students can successfully complete both undergraduate and graduate programs through the Minorities Programs. The Minorities program, housed within the School of Engineering and Applied Science provides students with extensive mentoring and advising, tutorial support, interaction with faculty, and academic and summer research experiences.

Research opportunities are provided through the University's collaboration with the National Science Foundation, the National Institute of Health, and the Department of Energy. Scholarships are provided with support from the Ford Motor Company, General Motors, Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., Verizon/GTE, Proctor & Gamble, Remington & Vernick, Inc., and Lockheed Martin.
